About

Rosemarino is the joint vision of business partners and friends Mirco Bertoldi and Sam Fryer.
With 10 years experience a-piece (AKA hard labour!) in top restaurants both locally and
abroad the pair decided it was high time to go it alone and become their own bosses.
So in November 2010 after an intense 3 months of construction, painting, calling in favours,
furniture restoration and heated debates with various building control and licensing officials,
Rosemarino was finally ready to open it’s doors on the old site of the legendary York Cafe in
Clifton. Rosemarino quickly gained a reputation as a place to enjoy fresh, un-fussy, sensibly
priced, Italian inspired food in a light and relaxed atmosphere.

With this growing reputation it soon became clear reinforcements were required. Having
worked closely together over the years in many of the same restaurants, Tony de Brito
has now joined the business and an old trilogy has been reunited.

Open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch and lunch with aperitivo and dinner being served
Wednesday-Saturday plus various events running twice monthly.
Rosemarino is a little gem to enjoy anytime, whether it be the full Italian feast or simply for a
coffee while reading the papers.

Sunday Lunch

The emphasis is on freshly prepared food using a range of locally based suppliers and
producers, no fancy or complicated masterpieces - just great food from great ingredients.
Our lunch & dinner menus are based on satisfying regional Italian specialities and
change weekly allowing us to make the most of seasonal ingredients when they’re at
their best. The majority of our dishes are served in either small or large sizes, a small
dish makes an appropriate starter or lite-bite, or if you’re spoilt for choice you can
have a few and nibble to your heart’s content!

A substantial and reasonably priced breakfast & brunch menu is available daily
including everything from fresh pastries to the already notorious
‘Tommy’s 1 Pan Wonder’ - a thing of joy (especially if you’ve overdone it thenight before!).

Drink

Here at Rosemarino we pay as much attention to our drinks menus as our food.
Our wine list is, of-course, heavily Italian but you won’t find any insipid Pinot Grigios or generic Chianti here.
The list changes with the seasons and is designed to show the best of, in our humble opinion, the most diverse
and interesting wine making country in the world. We believe that wines should have a sense of place and
express the balance between vineyard, climate & grape, therefore many of
our wines are made using organic and bio-dynamic principles.

If you fancy a hot beverage you won’t find a better place for a cuppa, from our perfectly made espresso and
luxurious, exclusively imported Italian hot chocolate to our cleansing speciality loose-leaf teas.

preparations are revered for their rich and exciting flavours. Vincent willbe joining us

art of the ‘Charcutier’ and, as ever, we will be providing some cracking wines to wash
